Clare Poche Rose passed away on December 8, 2012 at the age of 86 years. Beloved wife of the late William Joseph Rose, Jr. Mother of Cynthia Marie Garaudy (David), Joan Allison Hill (Mark), Elizabeth Ann Yaeger (Ned), Marissa Louise Rose, Carolyn Jean Landeche (Kevin) and the late Fabienne Clare Taylor (Howard). Grandmother of William, Jennifer, Christine, Julie, Margaret and Olivia. Great-grandmother of Abigail, Ava and Alexander. Sister of Helen Dugas, Charles Poche, Jr., Mary Boudreaux, Francis Poche, Jane Dugas and Linda Burke. Daughter of the late Louise Torres Poche and Charles C. Poche.
Clare was a devoted volunteer with St. Joseph Church in Gretna. She was a member of the St. Joseph Women’s Club where she held the office of Secretary and volunteered for 20 years helping with the St. Joseph Altar. In addition, she served as Activity Director with the Gretna Senior Center and as 2nd Vice-President with American Legion Post No. 206.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 from 9 AM to 11 AM.
