Clarence Anthony “Kimmie” LaBauve, a native of Westwego, LA and a resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana died Sunday, May 25, 2014 at the age of 89. Beloved husband of the late Rosemary LeBlanc LaBauve for 59 years. Loving Father of Joni Colvin of Gretna, Lisa Boudreaux of Baton Rouge and Kim A. LaBauve of Maurepas, Louisiana. Father-in-law of David Colvin, Mark Boudreaux and Melinda LaBauve. Son of the late Dialita Sandras and Clarence A. LaBauve, Sr. Brother of Ethel L. Currault. Preceeded in death by grandson Joshua Mark Boudreaux. Also survived by 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, Kimmie loved being with his family and friends. He was a U. S. Coast Guard Veteran of WWII on the U.S.S. Hurst. A founding member of the Banter Fraternity Men’s Social Club, Westwego, LA, he retired from Continental Can Co. in 1978 after 30 years of service. He also retired from LEWCO Specialty Products in 2014.
Relatives and friends of the family also members of Banter Fraternity are invited to attend a visitation on Saturday, May 31, 2014 at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA. from 9:00 A.M. until 12:30 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church, Westwego, LA. at 1 PM. Interment, Our Lady of Prompt Succor Mausoleum, Westwego, LA. Donations to Saint Lillian Academy, school for special needs children, 8130 Kellwood Ave, Baton Rouge, 70806 are preferred.
