Clarence "Apple" Martinez

Clarence "Apple" Martinez, 74 years old, passed away on Monday, November 2, 2015 at or around 9:15pm. He was surrounded by his wife, children, family and friends. A lifelong resident of Port Sulphur Louisiana where he was born on August 3, 1941. He was the beloved husband of Charlotte Treadaway Martinez, his loving wife. He leaves behind his son, Jan Martinez and daughter, Cheryl Buras-Marky and was preceded in death by his son, Dean Martinez. Grandfather of Natasha, Chelsie, Shawn, and Carlie Martinez and Blaine Buras, Jr. Great Grandfather of Nathan Martinez. He retired from Freeport Sulphur Co after 34 years and retired from Plaquemines Parish Sheriff's Department after 5 years of service. He was known as a selfless, compassionate and caring heart, always a smile and well wishes to all he met along the way. He carried those most precious to him, closest to him, in his heart. May they always know and feel the presence of his love for them. He will be sadly missed. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Visitation at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Port Sulpur, LA on Monday, November 9, 2015 from 9am until 11am.
