Clarence G. "Cj" Simoneaux, Jr.

Clarence G. (CJ) Simoneaux, Jr. age 70 entered into eternal rest on Thursday, November 21, 2013. Beloved husband of Lisa Domangue Simoneaux and the late Sandra Faust Simoneaux. Son of the late Clarence G. Simoneaux, Sr. and Dorothy T. Simoneaux. Loving and devoted father of Stacey S. Schmidt and the late Kimberly A. Simoneaux and Sandi S. Mottram. Grandfather of Emily Schmidt, Caitlyn Huff, Kiersten Schmidt, Eva Schmidt, Hannah Mottram and Katherine Schmidt. Brother of Leroy J. Aucoin. Son-in-law of Lucy G. Domangue and the late Beldren J. Domangue and Doris G. Domangue. Father-in-law of Edward “Ed” Schmidt and Peter “Pete” Mottram. Brother-in-law of Kathy W. Aucoin, Eldon “Butch” J. Domangue and Barry M. Domangue. Godfather of Sandy Broussard (Gabe). Uncle of Lee and wife Shawn Aucoin, Cindy and husband Tony Bodden, Jason and wife Andrea Domangue, Kelli and husband Steve Olave, Shelly Domangue, Shawn Domangue, Jessica Barnes and T.J. Barnes and the late Darren Aucoin. Step brother-in-law of Billy Barnes, Gary Barnes (Karen) and Timmy Barnes (Priscilla). Many thanks to his caregivers, Patrick “Pat” Thompson, Dr. Patrick “Pat” Mottram, Leroy Aucoin and Eileen Hopkins for their care, support and love given to CJ after his double lung transplant. Special thanks to the Pulmonary Team at Ochsner Hospital Main Campus, Jefferson Highway and the nurses on the TCU 7th Floor for all their love and compassion. CJ never met a stranger and will be missed by all who knew him. He graduated from Redemptorist High School, Class of 1961. He retired from Northrop Grumman Avondale Steel after 36 years of service. A visitation will be held at St. Edward the Confessor Catholic Church, 4921 West Metairie Ave., Metairie, LA on Saturday, November 23, 2013 from 9AM until 10AM. A Funeral Mass will take place at the church on Saturday at 10AM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
