Claude V. Dawson

Claude V. Dawson passed away on November 24, 2014 at the age of 85 years. Former husband of Kathleen Moore Dawson-Simmons. Father of Bobby Dawson (Cheryl) and Terry Dawson (Debbie). Grandfather of Bobby Dawson Jr. (Nina), Michael Dawson (Donna), Benji Dawson (Leslie), Terry Dawson Jr. (Jennifer), Kristen Dawson Wenzler (Thomas) and John Dawson (Nicola). Great-grandfather of Brody Dawson, Caleb Dawson, Amelia Dawson, Ashlynn Wenzler, Nancy Wenzler, Max Dawson, Racheal Dawson, Chasity Moody and Shelbie Becnel. Brother of Jimmy Dawson, Louise Cutue, Ruth Faircloth, the late J. P. Dawson, Wallace Dawson, William C. Dawson, Annie Dawson and Margaret Dawson. Son of the late J. B. Dawson and Florence Parks Dawson Faircloth. Also survived by other loving relatives and friends.
He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and attained the rank of Staff Sergeant. He retired as a Production Supervisor from Chevron and continued to work for Daybrook Fisheries.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA on Tuesday, November 25, 2014 from 6 PM to 10 PM, resuming on Wednesday from 9 AM to 3 PM. Services will follow in the funeral home chapel. Interment Our Lady of Perpetual Help Mausoleum in Belle Chasse.
