Clayton Francis Ocman passed away Sunday, September 15, 2013 at the age of 76 years. Beloved husband of Jean Valentino Ocman for 52 years. Loving father of Michael Ocman (Brandy) and Lisa O. Robertson (Duane). Proud Poppy of Dillan and Mikayla Robertson, Hayden, Cameron and Colin Ocman, Kenzie Robertson and the late infants Michael Jr., and Matthew Ocman. Special “Poppy” to Wade Gegenheimer, Alyssa Bennett and Kathryne Wenck. Also survived by special Godchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends. Brother of the late Irene O. Tastet, Ethel O. Territo, Aloe’, Earl and Donald Ocman. Son of the late Jeanne Simon Ocman and Joseph A. Ocman. Lifelong friends of the late Carol and Stone Pertuit. Raised on the Westbank, Clayton moved to Arabi and lived there for most of his married life. He retired from the Orleans Parish School Board after 30 years, then worked at St. Bernard Water and Sewerage and as a crossing guard at St. Mark School in Chalmette until Hurricane Katrina. The family relocated to Ponchatoula where they were welcomed by many new friends.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA on Thursday, September 19, 2013 at 1 PM. Interment, Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA. Parlors will be open Thursday from 10 AM until 1 PM. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff of North Oaks Hospital 4th Floor South for their kindness and care during Clayton’s illness.
