Clement P. “Clem” Landry, of Westwego, passed away at the age of 77 on July 4, 2014 due to complications following heart surgery.
He was born in White Castle, LA on October 8, 1936 to the late Olphide and Ida Gomez Landry. Clem was married to JoAnn Landry and just proudly celebrated their 16th year anniversary. He was also married to the late Barbara Anne Landry for 25 years.
Clem was a proud Marine who was passionate about everything he did. He was retired from the Continental Can Company, Jefferson Parish Recreation Department, and Ochsner Medical Center. He volunteered for many years at Pard Playground as coach and assisted in the management of the organization. Clem was passionate about dancing and was a member and instructor of the Back to the Fifties Jamaica Dance Club for many years.
Clem is survived by two children; Bambi Landry and Scott Landry (Monnica); a stepson; Danny Martin (Nicole), three grandchildren: Emily Landry, Chase Jeandron, and Kristen Landry; and his sister Gail Landry (Gale). Brother of the late Ida Mae Landry, Earl Landry, Kearney Landry, Ferd Landry, and Johnny Landry. Also survived by many relatives and friends. He will be sadly missed by all those who knew him. The family would like to express their gratitude to the physicians and staff of Ochsner Medical Center for their care and support.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Friday, July 11, 2014 at 11 AM. Interment will follow at Westlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will take place on Thursday from 6 PM to 10 PM, resuming on Friday from 8 AM to 11 AM.
