Clinton Edward "Dietz" Lauman Sr., age 76, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2012 surrounded by his loved ones after a courageous battle with ALS - Lou Gehrig's Disease. Beloved husband of 52 years to Mina Monteilh Lauman. Loving father of Clint Lauman Jr. (Shelly), Suzie Estopinal (Ricky), Bobby Lauman (Charlene) and Karen Flattmann (Dennis). Devoted grandfather to Connor and Cole Lauman, Brett and Trent Estopinal, Benjamin Lauman, Tyler, Devin and Farrah Flattmann. Son of the late Clinton A. and Norita Henly Lauman. Brother of Rita Lohman (Mike), Carol Phillips, Irene LaCombe (late Forest), and the late Elroy Lauman.
A native of Algiers, he served in the U.S. Marine Corps and retired from the New Orleans Police Department after 30 years of service. He was Commander of the Vice Squad. He also worked at the U.S. Federal Courthouse and the Jefferson Parish District Attorney's Office.

Family, friends, and his "Tuesdays with Dietz" lunch buddies are invited to attend the visitation at Mothe Funeral Home, 1300 Vallette Street, Algiers, LA on Saturday, June 9, 2012 from 9:00 am until 1:00 pm followed by a service.
