Clyde Joseph Maitreme Jr.

Clyde Joseph Maitreme Jr. passed away peacefully on January 9, 2024 at the age of 71 years. He is survived by his best friend and loving wife of 50 years, Melinda Bourne Maitreme. Father of Nathan Maitreme (Windy), Shannon Johnston (Brian), and Amanda Maitreme and the late Brandon Maitreme (Deborah). He loved spending time with his “buddies”, his grandchildren, Kayla, Lennon, and Ridley. Brother of Andrea Dufrene (Autry), Florence “Bee” Armstrong (George), and Louise Alario (Danny). 
He is preceded in death by his parents, Clyde Sr. and Elvira Maitreme, his in-laws, Percy and Frances Bourne, his brother, Emile, and his best friend and son, Brandon Maitreme. Brother-in-law of Mary Lou, Deana, and Donna. Also survived by loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Clyde grew up in Lucy, LA and Luling, LA and graduated from Hahnville High School, and was a longtime resident of Marrero, LA. He worked for American Tugs and was a devout member of Trinity Baptist Church in Harvey, LA. He was a devoted family man was willing to help anyone in need. He will be sadly missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to gather at Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Boulevard, Marrero, LA on Monday, January 15, 2024 from 10am to 1:30pm. Prayers will follow in the funeral home chapel.
