With hearts full of love, we celebrate the life of Constance "Connie" Dewis Lott, a beloved wife, cherished mother, adoring grandmother, and beloved friend. Connie passed away peacefully on February 15, 2025, at the age of 69, leaving behind her legacy of kindness, faith and unwavering dedication to her family and friends.
Born in Silver Spring, Maryland, on September 3, 1955, Connie’s life was a beautiful tapestry woven with devotion and generosity. She was the beloved wife of Lonnie Noel Lott, her best friend and soulmate of 47 years. Their love story began on a blind date in 1974 while both were attending the University of Southern Mississippi, where Connie studied nursing. From that moment forward, their journey together was filled with unwavering companionship, adventure, and a love that only deepened with time.
A proud graduate of the Pensacola School of Liberal Arts, Connie’s heart was forever tied to Pensacola Beach, a place where she found serenity, joy, and countless treasured memories. She was the devoted daughter of the late Albert David Dewis and late Margaret Bristol Dewis, and the loving sister of the late Trudy D. Wills and late Lloyd G. Dewis.
More than anything, Connie’s greatest joy in life was her family. She was the loving mother of Laura L. Valenti (Ricky) and Kathlene “Katie” L. Loupe (Josh), and a proud doting grandmother to her precious grandchildren: Vieira (10), Kambrie (10), Vicari (9), Vivianna (2), and Valentina (1). They were the light of her life, and she adored each of them beyond measure.
A woman of deep faith, Connie loved our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. This was evident in every way she lived, with kindness, grace, and an ever-present spirit of generosity. She was a proud member of Delta Gamma Sorority, embracing lifelong friendships and a commitment to service. Throughout her career, Connie was a dedicated accounting executive within the maritime and medical industries, serving Coastal Equipment, UniCopy, and Salco. Her strong work ethic, attention to detail, and mentorship left a lasting impact on colleagues and friends alike.
To honor Connie’s remarkable life, funeral services will be held in both Louisiana and Florida. In Louisiana, a service will take place on Wednesday, February 19th, at Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd, Marrero, LA, 70072. Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM. Fittingly, Connie will make one final journey to the place she loved most - Pensacola, Florida - to be laid to rest at Barrancas National Cemetery. Her committal service will take place on Monday, March 3rd, during Mardi Gras weekend. Friends and family wishing to attend should meet at Waters & Hibbert Funeral Home, 124 W. Gregory St., Pensacola, FL, 32502 at 9:15 AM. The procession will depart promptly at 9:30 AM, following the hearse under police escort for access to the military base.
In addition to flowers, donations may be made to Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center at Terrebonne General Medical Center in Houma, Louisiana, in gratitude for the compassionate care and treatment Connie received.
Her family kindly invites you to share your memories and condolences at www.MotheFunerals.com. Mothe Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Connie’s love, warmth, and gentle spirit will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her. While her physical presence will be deeply missed, her legacy of faith and kindness will continue to shine brightly in the lives she so beautifully touched.
