Cordelia Ann Purgley Cappiello

Cordelia Ann Purgley Cappiello was called to eternal rest on August 30, 2014 at the age of 76. She was a native of her beloved Port Sulphur, La.and resident of Belle Chasse, La. for the past 29 years. Daughter of the late Hugh Alphonse & Thema Larmer Purgley. A devoted and loving wife of the late Charles Edmond Cappiello. An adoring & loving mother to Louis (Carol) Cappiello, Karen Fay Cappiello, Joanna Cappiello-Leopold (Chris) and a special mother to Bobby Ray Schaubhut (Debbie). Survived by Sister-in-law Peggy Cappiello, Robert Cappiello and companion Shirley Becnel, James Cappiello(Paula). She is preceded in death by her brother-in-law Ralph Cappiello and sister-in-law, Janes Despaux Cappiello. She is also survived by her very special cousin Thomas Larmer Axelrad (Sheryl) and grand children Lindsay Cappiello, Blake Cappiello, Garrett Smith, Matthew Smith, Zachary Schaubhut, Savannah Schaubhut and William Leopold, Charley Ann Leopold & Sydney Leopold and numerous nieces and nephews. Cordelia was a caring, loving person & friend to all. She will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by all who knew her. Visitation will be Thursday, September 4, 2014 at Lakeview Presbyterian Church, 5914 Canal Blvd, New Orleans, La. 70124 from 9:30AM-11:00AM. Funeral Services will be held at the church on Thursday at 11AM. A special thank you to all the physicians & staff at Touro Infirmary, New Orleans, La. & Egan Healthcare & Hospice. Burial will be at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Port Sulphur, La. In lieu of flowers please consider donations in her name to La.
