Cory J. “Sweet Chuck” Coon passed away on March 15, 2015 at the age of 39 years. Beloved companion of Lynnell Taylor. Step-father of Ami Williamson (Haywood) and Kerri Meyers. “Pappy” of Sylas Williamson. Son of Debra Cannon Black and Tommy Black. Grandson of Mary Black, Irene Sonnier, the late Richard Black and Alex Simmons. Brother of Alisha Cannon (Gregg Arena) and Cerissa Blanchard (Christopher Ritter). Brother-in-law of the late Christopher Paul Blanchard. Nephew of Ronald Black and Kay Ballay. Uncle of Lyric Blanchard, Elijah Henry and Addison LeJuene. Also survived by many other loving relatives and friends.
He was a lifelong commercial fisherman and also worked as a mechanic for Abe’s Boat Rental. He was a member of We Demboyz II bike club.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA on Thursday, March 19, 2015 from 5 PM to 10 PM, resuming on Friday, March 20, 2015 from 8 AM to 9 AM. Services and eulogy will follow in the funeral home chapel. Interment St. Patrick Mausoleum in Port Sulphur, LA.
