Curtis P. Petit, Jr. entered into eternal rest on May 17, 2022, at the age of 69. He was a lifelong resident of St. Charles Parish, Louisiana. His beloved wife, Lula “Kathy” Petit, preceded him in death. He was the son of the late Curtis Petit, Sr. and Sedona Perez Petit. Loving father of Michelle Petit (Charles), Techia Gaubert, and Curtis Petit, III. Devoted grandfather of Paige Mason (DJ) and Hannah Gaubert. Great-grandfather of Zoey Gaubert. Brother of Cherrie Petit Sylve (Bluessard) and the late Robin Petit Morales. Uncle of Nicholas Sylve (Jamie) and great-uncle of Eric Sylve. Curtis worked for Occidental Chemical Corporation for 42 years, retiring in 2016. He was an avid pool player and a member of Nola APA for many years. He enjoyed traveling, fishing, and riding his Harley. Just the sound of that engine revving put a smile on his face. “Pops”, as many referred to him, was a kind-hearted man that never met a stranger. He had a captivating personality and a friendly smile that drew people to him. His zest for life was fun to be around and he loved to have a good time; you could always count on Pops to toast his family and friends on league night with a Red Snapper shot. Family was a great source of happiness for Pops and he truly adored his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He was loved by all who had the honor of meeting him and will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and his loyal pup, Scooter.
