D. J. Ancar

D. J. Ancar passed away on March 24, 2013 at the age of 89 years. Husband of the late Frances D. Ancar. Survivors include his sons, Merlin Ancar Sr. (Sue), Millen Ancar Sr. (Shirley); daughter Deidra Petkovich (Ernie); grandchildren, Deanna (Aaron), Merlin Jr. (Carolyn), Desiree’ (Wes), Millen Jr. (Amanda), Kelli (D.J.) and Kalie; great-grandchildren, Sadie and Soleil, Merlana and Alonna, Luke and Matthew, Jerry and Cayden and Sutton; and his sister, Catherine Daigle. Preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Ancar Sr. and Elizabeth “Lazzie” Treadway Ancar; brothers, John, Jules, Joseph Jr. and Paul Ancar.
The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation and gratitude to the staff of Riverbend Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for their compassion and care. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 28698 Highway 23 in Port Sulphur, LA on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 from 9 AM to 11 AM.
