Dale M. Melancon passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on December 8, 2022. She was born to the late William Miquez and Vivian Trosclair Miquez on February 16, 1950, in New Orleans, La.
Dale was married to the love of her life, the late Norman Melancon Jr. for 43 years. She worked as a clerk for the United States Postal Service. She is the mother of Leslie M. Powers (Hale) and Aaron Michael Melancon (former wife, Stacy). She is grandmother of Michael, Cody, Aaron Jr., Brittany, Arthur, Ashley, and T.J; she is step grandmother of Hayley.
She is the sister of William MIquez Jr., (Rose), Ernest Miquez (Emily), and Paul Miquez (Sue); she is also the daughter in law of the late Norman Melancon Sr. and Ama Lois Hebert Melancon, as well as the sister-in-law of the late Linda M. Silver (late Tony), Dennis M. Melancon (Kim), and the late David A. Melancon.
Dale is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. She will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved her.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial Mass at Visitation of Our Lady, 3500 Ames Blvd., Marrero, La on Monday, December 19, 2022, at 11am. The visitation will begin at 10am. Inurnment will immediately follow at Westlawn Cemetery in Gretna, La.
