Dana Cressonie Genusa, age 54 peacefully entered into eternal rest on Thursday, June 2, 2016. Beloved and loving wife of Steven Genusa for 35 years. Daughter of the late Joseph Rene Cressonie and Dolores Marie Vidonne Cressonie. Loving and devoted mother of Brennan Genusa (Wife Kacie). Sister of Jeffery Cressonie and Christopher Cressonie. Dana is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. She was born in Marrero, LA and was a resident of Westwego, LA. She was a Leader of AWANA Clubs. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Tuesday, June 7, 2016 from 10:30AM until 1PM. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 1PM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA. Dana was a wonderful gift to many. Her capacity to laugh through struggles and challenges was inspirational. Her personality, her style and her humor released a power of joy and hope into the lives of all who knew her. She persevered with God's grace through prayer, patience, and optimism. Dana's personal relationship with Jesus Christ carried her in hope. She was fearfully and wonderfully made by Our Lord to leave the legacy of laughter! Dana was certainly a Limited Edition! STEVEN AND BRENNAN; LIKE FATHER, LIKE SON…BEING MEN OF FEW WORDS; YET THEIR LOVE FOR DANA THROUGH COMMITMENT IN ACTION TOWARDS HER WAS LOUD AND CLEAR!!! SOME LOVE IS NOT SPOKEN, BUT SHOWN…AS WAS THEIR’S FOR DANA!!!!
