Daniel Laviolette

Daniel Laviolette passed away on Monday, July 7, 2014 at Our Lady of Wisdom Health Care Center at the age of 96. Beloved husband of the late Alma Devillier Laviolette. Father of Earl Laviolette (Mary) of Opelousas, F. John Laviolette, Michael Laviolette and Margie L. Forrest (Lawson). Son of the late Octavie Mallet Laviolette and George Laviolette of Leonville, LA. Survived by 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Daniel was a native of Leonville, LA and a resident of Algiers, LA for the past 70 years. He was a retired railroad engineer for Southern Pacific and an Usher at Holy Name of Mary Church, Algiers, for many years.
Relatives and Friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the Chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOMES, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 1:30 pm. Visitation will take place from 9:00 am until funeral time. Interment to follow at Westlawn Memorial Park, Gretna, LA.
