Daniel Joseph Spahr Sr.

Daniel Joseph Spahr, Sr. passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 after a brief battle with cancer at the age of 64. Beloved husband of Norma Boudreaux Spahr of 41 years. Father of Daniel J. Spahr, Jr. (Brandi) and Traci L. Spahr. Loving and proud grandfather of Kyleigh E. Spahr and Kyndall R. Spahr. Son of Louise Broadtman Spahr and the late Charles E. Spahr, Jr. Brother of Charles E. Spahr, III (Gail), Anita L. Spahr and David T. Spahr (Tasse). Also survived by many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Daniel honorably served in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War and was a member of the Mixed Nuts Social Club with many dear friends. Daniel was an avid bass fisherman that he shared with many devoted friends. He was known by many as a dear friend that anyone could count on. Always giving a helping hand to all.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend Mass in the Chapel at MOTHE FUNERAL HOMES, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at 11:00 am with Military Honors following the Mass. Parlors will be open Monday evening from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm and on Tuesday morning from 9:00 am until funeral time. Burial will be held in Westlawn Memorial Park at a later date.
