Darlene Rome Dufrene Lauland passed away Monday, June 6, 2016. Beloved companion of Jerman Polanco. Loving mother of Brandy Dufrene, Jacob Dufrene (Lisa), Cheri Martinez (Daniel), and Brian Rome. Daughter of the late Harold Rome, Sr. and Adoria Duval Rome. Sister of Harold Rome, Jr. (Scott), Virginia Townsley (Greg), and Deborah Desalvo. Grandmother of Kayla, Elijah, Bailey, Jade, Jenna, Skye, Jacob Jr., Sophia, Jarred, Jordan, Nevaeh, and Jazzalyn. Wife of the late Waldon Dufrene and Brian Lauland. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Age 62 years, a native of New Orleans, and resident of Marrero, LA. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the Chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 West Bank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Monday, June 13, 2016 at 11 AM. Interment Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA. Visitation will be Monday morning from 9 AM until service time.
