Darlene Tew Plaisance, 63 years old of Westwego,La passed away peacefully at her home on January 7,2023. Born on August 13, 1959 in New Orleans, La. Daughter of the late Clara and Gilbert Tew. Beloved wife of Clayton Plaisance Sr. for 41years. Highly devoted mother to Clayton Jr., Joseph and mother-in-law to Mandy. Daughter-in-law of Joyce and the late Lester Plaisance. Sister of Gaynel, Barry (Peggy), Larry (Anita), Michael, Toddy (Mary), Erik, April, and the late Mark. Sister-in-law to Donel (Timmy), Pernell, Laura (Danny), Terri, the late Randy, Bob, and Denise. Loving Godmother of David, Gwen, Jennifer (BJ),and Olivia. Amazing Aunt of Katie (Keith), Erica, Brent, Sara, Barry Jr, Steven, Stephanie, Jeffery, Ashley, Joshua, Corbin, Clara, Christina, Kenneth (Stacy), Nicholas (Melissa), Andre, Keith (Sarah), Brandy, and Lauren. Survived by numerous great nieces,great nephews, and extended family whom she adored. She was a "grinch sister" to her Monday night pool ladies. She graduated from L.W. Higgins High School. She loved cooking, shopping, camping, baking and being around family. Darlene never met a stranger, by the end of your conversation you were her best friend. She was a wonderful wife, mother, and friend, always loving with her whole heart. She will be dearly missed. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at 11am. Visitation will be held Thursday morning from 9am until 11am.
