Darryl David Breaux

Darryl David Breaux, age 39 years, entered eternal life on August 11, 2011 surrounded by loved ones. His death was the result of a traumatic brain injury suffered in a car accident on September 12, 2010. Beloved husband of Janel Rodrigue Breaux and loving father of Alexis (Lexie) and Allyson Breaux. Son of Ronnie and Cindy Breaux. Brother of Eric Breaux (Gina) and uncle of Vinny Breaux. Son in law of Ray and Dottie Rodrigue. Brother in law of Wade Rodrigue, Donna Carver (Rob) and nephews Griffin and Gavin. Darryl is also survived by his maternal grandmother Mabel Galiano, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family, especially Gail Simoneaux. He was predeceased by grandparents Bob Galiano, Ruby Breaux and Lester Breaux. Darryl was a native of Marrero and a resident of Harvey, LA . He was a graduate of John Ehret High School. The thoughtfulness, loyalty, love and prayers from so many have been instrumental in getting the family through each day since the accident. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. The focus of Darryl’s life was his Catholic Faith, his family, friends, fishing and football. He was also a talented musician whose guitar playing and singing was always a joy at family gatherings. He was a member of the Servants of Praise Guitar Group at Infant Jesus of Prague Catholic Church, and also on the Parish Council of St. Martha/ Infant Jesus Parish. The family would like to thank his family of co-workers, and many loyal customers of Home Depot in Marrero, where he was in Pro-Contractor sales. Special thanks to the physicians, nurses and staff at University Hospital, TICU, Triumph LA Specialty Hospital, West Jefferson Medical Center, Marrero Health Care Center & Heart of Hospice for all their compassionate care, especially Dr. Charles Simonson. The family requests copies of any photos or videos of Darryl that you may have for his daughters. Relatives and Friends of the Family, also employees of Home Depot, Waring & Associates, GE Oil & Gas & Acadiana West Animal Clinic are invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Monday, August 15, 2011 at 11 AM in the chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA. Interment will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA. A visitation will be on Sunday, August 14, 2011 from 6 PM until 10 PM and resume Monday, from 8 AM until 11 AM.
