David P. Allemand, Sr. passed away on September 15, 2012 at the age of 59 years. Husband of Freda Rocha Allemand. Father of David P. Allemand, Jr., Jennifer Allemand, Jeannie Allemand, Amanda “Digga” Allemand and Nicholas “ #5 “ Allemand. Grandfather of Joseph Allemand, Kiley Brooks and Bella´ Angelle Allemand. Brother of Sandra Allemand and Charles Morvant. Son of the late Eroy Allemand and Gloria Morvant Allemand Melancon. Companion of Carry Brunet.
He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and retired after 30 years of service from the Jefferson Parish School System as Plant Manager for John Quincy Adams Middle School in Metairie.
