David Joseph Bindewald Sr

David Joseph Bindewald, Sr. passed away on Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at the age of 76. Beloved husband of Letty Rougelot Bindewald.  Father of David Joseph Bindewald, Jr., Nathan David Bindewald, Aleda Marie Bindewald, and Daniel David Bindewald. Son of the late Ursula Vath Bindewald and Joseph John Bindewald, Sr. Brother of June Ramoneda, Sister Andre Marie “Cathy” Bindewald, O. CARM., Elizabeth Bindewald and the late Joyce Combias, Beryl Theriot, Ursula Uchaff, Joseph John Bindewald, Jr. and Michael Bindewald. Grandfather of Julia and James Bindewald, Ollie Falcone, Semiramis, Sean, and Jude Bindewald. He worked as a mechanical engineer in the oil field. Most of his career was at the Alliance Refinery. He served as 1^st President of the New Westbank Levee Authority and was active in many other civic and professional associations, as well as St. Cletus Parish and the New Orleans Archdiocese. He was the recipient of many awards and honors in his field.  After retirement, he formed a consulting business. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Harvey, LA. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Visitation on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expwy., Harvey, LA from 1pm until 3pm.
