David Samuel LaPorte, Sr., owner of LaPorte Electric, Inc., passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2014 in Lafitte, LA at the age of 56. He was a native of Marrero, LA and a resident of Lafitte, LA for 16 years. Beloved husband of Mary Margaret LaPorte. Loving father of David S. LaPorte, Jr. (Lori), Anthony J. LaPorte, Sr. (Candy), Gregory J. Westrope and Brian M. LaPorte. Grandfather of Angelina LaPorte, David S. LaPorte, III, and Anthony J. LaPorte, Jr. Son of Joseph LaPorte Sr. and the late Anna Giovengo LaPorte. Brother of JoAnne Rizzuto (Clay), Deborah Mosley, Mary Delaune (Paul) and the late Joseph LaPorte, Jr. Also survived by a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends.
Relatives, friends and clients of LaPorte Electric, Inc. are invited attend the Funeral Service in the chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA on Saturday, May 10, 2014 at 11 AM. Interment, Restlawn Cemetery, Avondale, LA. Parlors will be open on Friday, May 9, 2014 from 6PM until 10PM and again on Saturday from 9AM until 11AM.
