Detective David Francis Michel, Jr., passed away on June 22, 2016 at the age of 50. He was born in New Orleans and was a resident of Marrero, Louisiana. He is survived by his loving wife, Angela Theriot Michel for 21 years. David is also survived by his parents, Harriet Luella Daigle and David Francis Michel, Sr.; his step-parents, Carolyn Michel and Dennis Daigle; his son, Michael Scott Michel (Brandi); grandchildren, Brynnin and Kayden Michel and Jaden Houin; his brother, Darrin Michel (Dona); step-sisters, Kathy Williams (Danny), and Rhonda Cary (Scott); his father-in-law, Roger Dale Theriot. Uncle of Alexis Theriot (Jason), Ross Sandras (Jamie), and Ross Sandras, Jr. He is preceded in death by mother-in-law, the late Kathy P. Theriot and his sister-in-law, the late Tanya Sandras. David is also survived by Claudia Jean Pierce as well as a host of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and numerous dear friends. David was employed by the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office since 2007. He was currently assigned to the Detective Bureau. He loved being a Law Enforcement Officer as it was his lifelong dream. His fun personality will be missed by everyone that knew him. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Believer’s Life Family Church, 501 Lapalco Blvd., Gretna, LA on Monday, June 27, 2016 from 10AM until 1PM. Funeral Services will be held at Believer’s Life Family Church on Monday at 1PM. Interment will be in Gate of Heaven Mausoleum (Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery), Avenue A and 5th Streets, Westwego, LA. MOTHE FUNERAL HOME is in charge of arrangements.
