Deborah Lynn Buras, born on May 26, 1951, in Port Sulphur, Louisiana, left us on December 21, 2024, in Belle Chasse, Louisiana. She was 73 years old. Deborah was the beloved daughter of the late Ramona and Arnold Buras and granddaughter of Helen and Anatole Fabiano. A devoted mother and grandmother, she found her greatest joy in her family. She is survived by extensive family in America and Croatia, all whom she loved dearly, including her life partner, Mark “Hobbo” Cognevich, her children, Tera Dahlberg (Jason) and Chad Bowles (Michelle), her cherished grandchildren - Dylan Bowles, Zackary Bowles, and Ella Bowles, and the Dusina family (Croatia). Their love was the light of her life and she took immense pride in their accomplishments. With a heart as expansive as the Belle Chasse community she resided in, Deborah was known for her boundless generosity and compassion. Her kindness flowed effortlessly to all who crossed her path, leaving a memorable mark on those fortunate enough to know her. She gave selflessly and loved unconditionally—a legacy that will forever endure.
May Deborah’s memory serve as a source of comfort to those who loved her deeply and inspire acts of kindness in her honor.
