Debra Wallace Lachute

April 3, 1955 — April 15, 2023

On April 15th at 9:08pm Debra LaChute loving wife and mother went to be with Our Lord after a long battle with Breast Cancer. She was the best mother and grandmother. She loved her family and was always proud of them. She is survived by her husband David LaChute Sr., her children Dana LaChute (Mickey), Debbie Leavitt (Mark), Denise Holt (Gregory), Delores McDuffie (DeWiott) and David LaChute Jr (Stacey). Her grandchildren Dillon Myers, Cody Leavitt, Celine Myers, DeWiott McDuffie III, Zachary McDuffie, Allison McDuffie, Makayla Holt, Keith "Boogie" Christen, Karlie Williams and Kelsie Christen. Three great grand children, Liam Christen, Kreed Guedry and Leilani Christen. She left behind numerous brothers and sisters. Debra was preceded in death by her mother Julia Wallace, her father William Wallace Sr. and her grandson Dawson Myers. The family would like to thank Pinnacle Hospice nurses, Dr. Joseph Ryan Shows and the staff of Mary Bird Perkins of Baton Rouge for the care they gave her.
A viewing and service will be held at MOTHE FUNERAL HOMME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd, in Marrero on Saturday April 22, 2023. Visitation will begin at 11AM until 1PM. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 1PM. Interment will be privately held at a later date. Family and friends may offer condolences at mothefunerals.com.
