Della Mae Jerrell Howard entered into eternal rest on Thursday, October 6, 2011 at the age of 81. Beloved wife of 59 years to George Howard. Daughter of the late James Jerrell and Lenora Loyd Jerrell. Mother of Eugene Howard (Lilly), Gerald Howard and Gary Howard (Cherie). Sister of James Jerrell (Grace). Survived by 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Della is preceded in death by many brothers and sisters. She was a resident of Terrytown, LA for over 50 years. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Monday, October 10, 2011 from 11AM until 2PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the funeral home on Monday at 2PM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Association.
