Dennis L. Skold, passed away on Friday, December 14, 2012 at the age of 94. Husband of the late Augusta Skold, survived by two daughters; Tina Skold Clark and Kimberlee Skold Burt, four grandchildren, Rachel Clark, Dr. Jessica Clark Chandamuri (Husband Dr. Babi Chandamuri), Mary K. Burt, Karen M. Burt, son in law Stewart J. Clark, niece Debbie Skold and nephew Denny Skold. Dennis served in WWII reaching rank of Tech Sergeant. He was awarded two bronze stars for Rhineland and Central Europe Campaigns. He served first part of the war in Reykjavik, Iceland and was assigned to an artillery battalion and later was part of the second wave of D-Day troops. Dennis was a “rag man” by trade and opened a clothing store in Blue Springs, MO which he and his wife Augusta ran until they retired. He was an avid golfer throughout his life. ). Services will be held at the St. Charles Avenue Baptist Church, 7100 St. Charles Ave on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at 11 AM. Burial will be private.
