Dolores Duthu Johnson went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, November 13, 2011 at 7:30AM at the age of 79. Beloved wife of Charles R. Johnson, Sr. for the past 59 years. Mother of Cheryl and Fred Monus, Charles Jr. and Rita Johnson, Beth and Barry Vincent, Arleen and Nick Kootsouradis. Daughter of the late Donald, Sr. and Alice Duthu. Sister of Donald Duthu, Jr. and the late Joyce LaGarde Meyer. Grandmother of Amanda, Jessica, Adam, Eric, Sarah, Zane, Charlie III, Melanie, Seth, Cade, Jill and Heather. Great grandmother of Taylor, Kami and soon to arrive Luke. Special thanks to Riverbend Nursing Home for their care and compassion. A native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Belle Chasse, LA. Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend a Visitation at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, Belle Chasse LA on Friday, November 18, 2011 at 9 AM until funeral mass time at 11 AM. Interment will follow in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer Association and St. Vincent DePaul at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in memory of Dolores.
