Dolores Schneider Laborie

Dolores Schneider Laborie, a beloved homemaker and cherished family matriarch, passed away on October 17, 2024 at the age of 84. Born on April 26, 1940, Dolores dedicated her life to creating a warm and loving home for her family.

Dolores was preceded in death by her beloved late husband Donald C. Laborie, Sr.

Dolores was the proud mother of Denise L. Cain (Bruce) and Donald C. Laborie Jr. (Alona), who carry forward her legacy of love and care. She found immense joy in her role as a grandmother to her grandchildren: Sheri McBee (Brandon), Krystal Beckham (John), Hannah Pichoff, Dylan Pichoff, Brittany L. Trahan (Josh), and Daniel Laborie (Adeline), and Avery Cintron(step-grandson). Her heart swelled with pride as she embraced the role of a great grandmother to 11 wonderful great grandchildren, each of whom brought unique joy into her life.  Sister of Augustine "Tina" Nemcik (the late Andy), Darline Broussard (the late Brent), and Richard Schneider Jr. (the late Dawn)

A cherished daughter, Dolores was preceded in death by her father, the late Richard Schneider Sr., her mother, the late Mildred Bruscato Schneider, and brother, the late Dwayne Schneider . Their enduring love shaped her into the compassionate person she was, and their memories remained a guiding light throughout her life.

Dolores' personality shone through her unwavering love for her family, and her home was a haven filled with laughter and warmth. With kindness at the core of her being, she nurtured her loved ones, fostering bonds that will endure over time. She was a wonderful seamstress and wonderful cook  

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Dolores’ remarkable life on October 20, 2024. Visitation will take place from 10:00 AM to 1:30 PM at the Harvey - Mothe Funeral Homes, LLC, located at 2100 Westbank Expy, Harvey, Louisiana. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 1:30 PM. Dolores will then be laid to rest during an interment at Westlawn Memorial Park in Terrytown, Louisiana, at 2:15 PM.

Though now departed, the love and memories of Dolores Schneider Laborie will forever resonate in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her, a testament to a life lived with purpose and profound love.
