Dominick Anthony Gulizo, Sr.

Dominick Anthony Gulizo, Sr. passed away on Thursday, July 4, 2013 at the age of 90 years. He was a lifelong resident of Marrero, LA. Husband of Geraldine Brossette Gulizo for the past 61 years. Father of Dominick Jr. (Sharon), John (Melanie), Anthony (Penny), Donna Gulizo Randazzo (Johnny) and Alfred Brossette Jr. Grandfather of Dominick III, Kristen, Cody and Ashten Gulizo, John Randazzo III and Amber Randazzo Peskin (Scott). Great-grandfather of Dominick and Sophia Randazzo and Lucy Peskin.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Rosalie Buccola and Anthony Gulizo; sister Rosalie G. Ditta and brother Victor Gulizo Sr. Also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.
Dominick proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II in the Asiatic/Pacific Theater. He was a member of American Legion Post 222 and VFW Post 7307. He loved working in his vegetable garden, repairing lawnmowers and watching old western movies. He will be sadly missed. The family would like to express sincere thanks to the staff of Wynhoven Healthcare Center and Dr. Simonson and staff for their compassion and care throughout the past 7 months.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 from 8 AM to 11 AM. Funeral Services will follow.
