Don H. Turbeville

Don H. Turbeville entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, July 26, 2023. He was born in Algiers, Louisiana, on December 8, 1951.  Son of the late James Louis Turbeville and the late Rita Marie Wiseman Turbeville.  He is survived by three children, John Paul Turbeville (Ashley), Nicole Johnson, and Sean Rene Turbeville; grandchildren, Carson Schmidt, Natalie Turbeville, and Aaron Turbeville; and great granddaughter Carter Allison Schmidt.  He is also survived by his siblings, Sherry Gail Bailey, James Louis Turbeville, Jr. (JoAnn), Pamela Campbell (Gary), and Patricia Pike (Douglas). Age 71 years, a native of Algiers, and resident of Terrytown, LA.

Don Turbeville was a charismatic and strong-willed man, known for his charm, humor, and unwavering devotion to his family. He always put his loved ones first, taking immense pride in each of his children and grandchildren.

Don's adoration for his parents, Rita and Jimmy, knew no bounds. He held them in the highest regard, cherishing the memories of his father and the unwavering love provided throughout his life by his mother Rita.

Don's magnetic personality attracted many lifelong friends from the Westbank to Puerto Rico and far beyond. He was cherished by those fortunate enough to call him a friend. He built friendships based on trust, loyalty, and shared experiences, and he valued each and every one of them.

Don's love for the New Orleans Saints was well-known, and he proudly displayed his loyalty with a wardrobe full of fleur de lis shirts and hats.

While Don may no longer be with us, his legacy as a charismatic, devoted family man, loyal friend, and avid Saints supporter will forever be etched in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing and loving him. His adoration for his parents, his unwavering bond with his siblings, children, family, extended family and the cherished friendships he cultivated throughout his many years will continue to inspire and bring comfort to those who carry his memory.

Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the Parlor of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expy, Harvey, LA on Monday, July 31, 2023 at 11 AM. Interment Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA. Visitation will be held from 9 AM until service time.
