Donald R. Bass, Jr.

Donald R. Bass, Jr. “Donnie”, age 51, of Tylertown, MS passed away on August 3, 2023; loving husband of Donna “Cathy” Young Bass.  He was born in Marrero, LA on January 9^th, 1972 to Gwen Duff and the late Donald R. Bass, Sr.  Donnie is survived by his Mother Gwen D. Nelms; Brothers Chris Bass (Ann), Mark Nelms (Briana); his Sister Felicia Bass; Aunts Genae Bato (William), Sue Mitchell (Jr.), Linda Gates, Lutherine Ashworth, Nita Norlander (Lanny), Catherine Young; Uncles Homer Bass (Jeri) & Larry Bass (Monteen); Sister-In-Laws Diana and Karen Young, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.  Donnie is preceded in death by James M. Duff “Peppaw”, Mary Louise “Mammaw” and Carol "Granddaddy" Sinquefield, Luster “Pawpaw” and Vergie “Granny” Bass; Aunts Lucille Gayton and Margie Bass; Uncles Joseph Duff, Julus (Sam) Bass and Ronald Bass; Manuel P. Rotolo (Dad/"Toto"); Father/Mother-In-Law Ray S. and Mary Ann Young; Brother-in-Laws J. Mitchell, Ronald and Charles Young.  Donnie was an avid Outdoorsman, who loved HUNTING, Fishing, and tending to his horses/land.  He worked offshore for 20 years as a Pump Operator/Operator in the Plug and Abandonment (P&A) Division; most recently with QuarterNorth Energy.  Per Donnie's request, there will not be a traditional Funeral.  However, a Memorial service will be held for him on October 7^th, 2023 at 2PM; Location:  Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 LaPalco Blvd., Marrero, Louisiana.  In lieu of Flowers, the family requests donations be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
