Donald Floyd Swilley passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2015 at the age of 77 years. Beloved husband and Best Friend of Flora Yvonne Swilley for the past 56 years. Caring father of Roger Swilley of Temple, GA, Kenneth Swilley (Ruby) of Belle Chasse, LA and Rebecca Bennett (Johnny) of Melder, LA. Preceded in death by his parents Dewey F. and Minnie Mae Swilley and brothers Ricky and Charles Swilley. He is survived by a brother, Ronnie Swilley of Ashdown, AR, and sisters, Betty Cooley of Pitkin, LA, Patsy Michel of Marrero, LA, Lillie Craft of DeRidder, LA, Sherlyn Hickman and Vicky Brooks of Merryville, LA. Attentive and Supportive grandfather of Amanda Cailleteau (John), Danielle Griswold (DL), Justin Bennett (Courtney), Pamela, Dominique, Marlena, Kasey, and Nicholas Swilley, Erica and Dillon Bennett. Also survived by 6 great grandchildren. He was born in Newton, Texas and has been a resident of Belle Chasse, LA for the past 46 years. Family and friends are invited to attend a Visitation on Saturday, May 16, 2015 from 4pm-8pm at Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expwy., Harvey, LA. A brief prayer service will be held at 6pm. Visitation will also be held at Boxwood Church of Christ, 123 Boxwood Church Road, Merryville, LA 70653 on Sunday, May 17, 2015 from 2pm until 4pm. Funeral Services will follow at Boxwood Church of Christ for 4pm. Interment will be at Bivens Cemetery, Merryville, LA.
