Daughter of the late Celesta Fick Merkel and August Paul Merkel. Loving and devoted mother of Durel J. Bernard III (Wife Heather) and Dustin M. Bernard (Wife Geri). Loving grandmother of John Landry Bernard. Sister of Larry W. Merkel (Wife Judy). Sister-in-law of Hollace A. Bernard, Marian M. Bernard and Lucille K. Bernard. Aunt of Corinne Flettrich (Husband Adam). Donna was born in Goliad, Texas; was a native of Gretna, LA and a resident of Spicewood, Texas for the past 2 years. A visitation will be held at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Saturday, January 25, 2014 from 9AM until 11AM. A Funeral Mass will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 11AM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
