Donna Plaisance Martin, a lifelong resident of Westwego, Louisiana entered into eternal rest unexpectedly surrounded by her loved ones on Friday, December 20, 2024 at the age of 72. Beloved and devoted wife of William “Billy” Martin, Sr. Daughter of Annabelle Saucier Plaisance and the late Ernest “Buck” Plaisance, Sr. Loving mother of Melissa M. Blanchard (Dean), Melanie M. Foret (Jude), William P. Martin, Jr. (Bridgette) and Wade J. Martin (Sarah). Loving Grandmother of Alison Shields (Jacob), Andrew Blanchard (Hannah), Connor Blanchard, Albert Phillip, III, Isabella Phillip, Emma Foret, Mariah Farve Martin (Terry), Maddox Martin, Bentley Martin, Emily Martin and Riley Martin. Great Grandmother of Stella, Zelie, Layne and Wesley Shields, Addison, Grant, Sophie Blanchard, Archie and Finlay Verrette. Beloved sister of Ernest “E.J.” Plaisance, Jr. (Ann) and Barry P. Plaisance (Sheila). Donna is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She enjoyed spending quality time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her hobbies included traveling, watching baseball, attending her grandkids sporting events, building puzzles and weekly Bible studies. Family and friends are invited to attend the Visitation at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church, 146 4th Street, Westwego, Louisiana on Saturday, December 28, 2024 from 8:30AM until 10AM. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church on Saturday at 10AM.
