Doris M. Acosta entered into eternal rest on Thursday, December 20, 2012 at the age of 86. Beloved wife of 65 years to Clarence Acosta. Daughter of the late John Chisholm and Bertha Buras Chisholm. Mother of Rickie Acosta, Sr. and the late David Acosta. Grandmother of Rickie Acosta, Jr., Amy Acosta Hill, Bonnie Acosta and Ivy Acosta. Great Grandmother of Anthony Acosta, Devin Acosta, Samantha Hill and Hunter Hill. Sister of the late Russell Chisholm, Audley Chisholm and William Chisholm. Doris is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was born in New Orleans, LA and resided in Belle Chasse, LA since 1955. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 6th Street, Gretna, LA on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 from 8:30AM until 10AM. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Wednesday at 10AM. Interment will be held in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
