Doris Emmons Adams passed away on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at the age of 85 years. Beloved wife of the late Claude E. Adams Sr. Mother of David Adams, (Debbie), Bennett Adams, (Pamela) and the late Claude E. Adams Jr. Robert Adams, and Laurie Adams Gay. Daughter of the late Jesse "Jake" Emmons and Thelma Sanchez Emmons. Sister of Joycelyn McKnight, and the late Anna DeBusk. Grandmother of Shawn Ford, Krissy Gay Ford, Tabitha Adams, Sabrina Adams, Patience, Lisa, and Harley. Great grandmother of Josiah, Falynn, Sevin, and Esme. A lifelong resident of Marrero, LA. Relatives and friends of the Family are invited to attend a Funeral Service in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expwy, Harvey, LA. on Monday, October 6, 2014 at 11am. Interment Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday morning for family only from 8am-9am and from 9-11am for the public.
