Doris Adams Lirette passed away on Monday, October 5, 2015 at the age of 93 years. Beloved wife of the late Arnold J. "Sonny" Lirette, Sr. Mother of Patrick Lirette (Odeal), Linda Strohmeyer (the late Raymond "Joe" Jr.), Victoria Rodriguez (Jesse), Hope Lirette, Arnold J. Lirette Jr. (Tammie), Curren Lirette (Michelle), and Diane Brewer (the late Charles). Daughter of the late Sadie Maronge Adams and Armand "Jack" Adams Sr. Sister of the late Armand "Jay" Adams, Jr., Lovedee Bergeron, Anna Mae Oalmann, Ruth Adams, June Adams, and Francis Adams. Grandmother of Raymond Strohmeyer, Jr., Kimberly Strohmeyer, Ryan, Renee, and Rebecca Rodriguez, Lauren, Morgan, Steven, and Andrew Lirette, Lacey Brewer and the late Keith M. Rodriguez. Great Grandmother of Ashton and Abigail Strohmeyer, Alaina and Keith A. Rodriguez, Ander and John Michael Justice. Also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was a native of Houma, LA and a resident of Gretna, LA for the past 21 years. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 2100 Westbank Expwy, Harvey, LA on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at 1pm. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 9am until 1pm. Interment, Restlawn Park Cemetery, Avondale, LA.
