Doris McEvers Richoux

Doris McEvers Richoux passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2011 at the age of 85. Wife of the late Harding J. “Boo” Richoux. Mother of Ranell Richoux of Hammond, LA and Alan Richoux. Mother-in-law of Lynn Richoux of Luling, LA. Daughter of the late Loveless McEvers and Louisiana P. McEvers. Grandmother of Denise Rovetto, Cherelle Lee (husband Kevin), and Dena Miller (husband Donnie). Great-grandmother of Bailey and Gage Michael Lee and Shelby and Dylan Miller. Preceded in death by her daughter Janice Rovetto, grandchildren Amy and Randy Richoux, and siblings John McEvers, Norma Cheramie, Warren McEvers, and Hecton McEvers. A native of Cut Off, LA and a longtime resident of Westwego, LA. She was a former employee of Celotex during the early 1940’s and volunteered many hours as a member of West Jefferson Medical Center Auxiliary during the 70’s and 80’s. The Family wishes to thank the Staff of Our Lady of Wisdom Healthcare Center and River Region Hospice for their care and kindness. Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass in the Chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at 11 AM.
