Doris Savin Wattigney passed away on March 15, 2012. Beloved wife of the late Bertrand M. Wattigney. Mother of Bert, Doak, and Edmond Wattigney, Dotty Palmintier, Wendy Wattigney, and the late Theresa Wattigney. Sister of Betty Breaux, the late Margaret Mumfrey, Billy and Calvin Savin. Grandmother of Nicole Palmintier, Brett and Beau Wattigney, and Maggie Wattigney Doussan. Great-grandmother of August Bertrand Doussan. Age 91 years and a native of Franklin, LA. A 1942 graduate of Hotel Dieu School of Nursing. A retired Registered Nurse who founded the first state licensed day care center “Kiddy Koop” in Algiers, LA. Past president of Business & Professional Women’s Association of Greater New Orleans, LA. Relatives and Friends of the Family are invited to attend a Funeral Mass in the Chapel of MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Monday, March 19, 2012 at 1 PM.
