Dorothy Miller Dauzat

Dorothy Miller Dauzat, age 87, owner and operator of Dauzat Day Care for 35 years entered into eternal rest on Friday, February 20, 2015. Beloved wife of the late Foster J. Dauzat, Sr. Loving mother of Roy Dauzat (Julie), Foster Dauzat, Jr. (Karen), Dorothy D. Simon (Kerry), Donald Dauzat (Jimmy Ledet) and Ronald Dauzat (Ferah). Grandmother of 16 grandchildren and great grandmother of 25 great grandchildren. Daughter of the late Charles Roy Miller and Bessie Baines Miller. Sister of the late Charles “Chuck” Miller and the late Carl Miller. Dorothy was born in Arkansas and was a resident of Marrero. She was a owner/co-operator of the Dauzat House in the French Quarter since 1978. The family would like to extend a sincere appreciation to Canon Hospice for their care. Relatives and friends, also former students of Dauzat Day Care are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Monday, March 2, 2015 from 9:30AM until 1PM. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 1PM. Graveside services will be held at the City of Mandeville Cemetery, Mandeville, LA on Monday at 3PM.
