Dorothy Bowles Floyd passed away on March 15, 2016 at the age of 84 years. Beloved wife of the late Houston L. Bowles by first marriage and the late John K. Floyd by second marriage. Mother of Beverly Robison, Danny L. Bowles (Desiree) and Charles H. Bowles (Anabel). Grandmother of William, DeAnna (Todd), Derek (Jener), Chad, Shaina, Brittany (Chris), Alexandra and the late Shawn. Survived by several great-grandchildren. Sister of the late Elizabeth Russell and Virgil Joyce Wiseman. Daughter of the late Martha L. Lee and Homer Virgil Cox. Appreciation, love, and respect for Lois Hingle, lifelong best friend. The family would also like to extend their gratitude to the staff of St. Margaret’s Hospice and to Adana Davis and Anna Dobard for their care and compassion. She was born in Meridian, TX, raised her family in Buras, LA and later resided in Belle Chasse, LA. She was a member of Promise Land Church.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOMES, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA on Saturday, March 19, 2016 from 9 AM to 11 AM. Services will follow in the funeral home chapel. Interment Westlawn Memorial Park.
