Dorothy Edwards Linam

Dorothy Edwards Linam, a resident of Gretna, LA peacefully entered into eternal rest on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at the age of 86. Beloved wife of the late Mack Linam. Loving mother of Daniel Linam (Judy), Steven Linam (Kathy), Clyde Linam (Rosa), Margaret Bentel (Dennis) and the late Anna Lee Thibodeaux and Catherine Macaluso. Beloved grandmother of Christina, Brent, Sal, Crystal, Bruce, Christopher, Athena, Daniel, Marina, Marc, Monica, Clyde, Jonathan and Tara. Dorothy is also survived by 12 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren as well as a host of nieces and nephews, especially Elizabeth Rester. Former mother-in-law of Rosalina Arroyo and Emma Segarra. Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Emma Edwards; her sisters, Annie Eaves, Lucille Foster and Elizabeth Edwards. Dorothy was born in Ackerman, MS where she attended Grenada Nursing School and completed her Clinical at Charity School of Nursing. Dorothy retired from the VA Hospital in New Orleans after 30 years of service. The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to Hope Haven Adult Day Healthcare Center and Heart of Hospice for their love and support. Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Saturday, August 22, 2015 from 9:30AM until 1:30PM. Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 1:30PM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
