Dorothy Rita Gervais Dufour

Dorothy Rita Gervais Dufour, a native of Raceland, LA and resident of Marrero, LA, passed away on Monday, October 13, 2015 at the age of 94 years. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Odell Dufour and her parents, Fellician and Annie Lee Boudoin Gervais. Survived by her adoring children, Janie Dufour Guidry (Alex) and Wayne Paul Dufour Sr. (Barbara). Proud grandmother of Bambi Foose (Jim), Shelli Zahorchak (Dennis), Alexis Leslie (Rob), Todd Dufour (Toni), Lisa Simmons Dufour and Wayne Dufour Jr. (Laura). She was the step-grandmother of Tracy Marcel (Kim) and Stacey Goldsmith (Robert). She was always thrilled to visit with her grandchildren and step-grandchildren and their families. Dot was survived by 12 great-grandchildren, 4 step-great-grandchildren, 1 great-great-grandchild and 3 step-great-great-grandchildren. Sister of the late Ralph and Rufus Gervais. Dorothy loved dancing and traveling with Odell, playing cards and socializing with family and friends. Dorothy was employed by Singer Sewing Company and owned and operated the Westwego Quick Pack. She will be sadly missed by family and friends.
