Dorothy "Dottie" Barrilleaux Rodriguez

Dorothy “Dottie” Barrilleaux Rodriguez went to Heaven on Tuesday, July 8, 2014. She was a native of Labadieville, LA and a resident of the Westbank for over 70 years. Loving wife of the late Louis A. “Rod” Rodriguez. Loving mother of Gwen Pichoff (Ricky) and the late Linda Dominique Owens (Audie by 1st marriage and the former Gene by 2nd marriage). Devoted Grandma (G-MA) of Audie “AJ” (Shanna), Andrew Dominique (Kimberly), Adam Pichoff (Fiance’ Courtney Stropollo) and the late Danielle Dominique and Aaron Pichoff. Caring daughter of the late Clara Naquin of Thibodaux, LA and Wartel Barrilleaux of Labadieville, LA. Sister of Helena Falgoust, Margaret Breaux, Myrtle Palmisano, Elton Barrilleaux, Gerald Barrilleaux and the late Wartel “Jr” Barrilleaux, Rita Becnel and Essie Breaux. She was a member of Immaculate KC Auxiliary 4222, American Legion Auxiliary Unit 222, 8/40 Salon 535, Harvey/Marrero Golden Ages and Infant Jesus Widow’s Group. She lived at Wynhoven Apartments for 10 years and very active as a volunteer, floor delegate, darts and bean bag player and bingo player as a caller and checker. Mom never met a stranger. She will be sadly missed by all her friends and family. The family would like to extend their most sincere appreciation to Dr. Scott Acosta, Dr. Robert Kessler for their loving care as well as Concerned Care Hospice, especially Christina Chimento and Kisha Tillman. A visitation will be held at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Friday, July 11, 2014 from 6PM until 11PM. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Saturday, July 12, 2014 from 7AM until 9:30AM. A Funeral Mass will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 9:30AM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
