Dorothy (Dottie) Berges Sarbeck

Dorothy (Dottie) Berges Sarbeck passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at the age of 86.  Dottie was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of Huffman, TX for the past 37 years.  She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 60 years, Bernard H. Sarbeck, Jr.  Daughter of the late George P. Berges and Carolyn Brauner Mitchell.  Step daughter of the late Edith A. Berges.  She is survived by her children, Karen Legendre (Steve), Wendy Perkins (the late Prentiss Perkins), Gretchen Figarola (John) and Benny Sarbeck, III (Stephanie); eight grandchildren, Steve Legendre, II (Randi), Brian Legendre (Danielle), Garrett and Brett Perkins, Ashley and Jonathan Figarola, Nicholas and Lilly Sarbeck and great-granddaughters, Stella and Dakota Legendre.  Sister to Charles North and the late Abdon North (Marlene).  She leaves behind many nieces, nephews and numerous friends.  She lived and loved life to the fullest.  Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Visitation at Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church, 400 Verret Street in Algiers, LA on Saturday, July 1, 2023 from 8:30AM until 10:30AM, with a Memorial Mass to follow at the church at 10:30AM.  In lieu of flowers, please make donations to MD Anderson Cancer Center, Paralyzed Veterans of America (www.pva.org) or to the ALS Association of Texas---Houston Office (www.alstexas.org) in memory of Dorothy Sarbeck.  MOTHE FUNERAL HOME is assisting the family during this difficult time.  Family and friends may offer condolences at mothefunerals.com.
