Dorothy Rauh Thompson entered into eternal rest on Friday, September 14, 2012 at the age 92. Beloved wife of the late Christian Thompson, Jr. Daughter of the late John E. Rauh and Clara Guis Rauh. Mother of Susan T. Birdsong (Husband Charles), Gail T. Miller (Husband Neville) and Debra T. Stohlman (Husband Ret. Capt. Robert). Grandmother of Lori Birdsong, Christi Vollertsen, Tracy Morse, Frank Morse III, Scott Morse, Lainie Miller and Rebecca Winn. Great Grandmother of Christian Pereira, Samuel Vollertsen, Lucas Morse, Chloe Vollertsen, Amelia Morse, Aidan Morse, Lauren Miller, Andrew Winn, Leland Miller and Emma Winn. Sister of the late Robert F. Rauh. Dorothy was born in Milwaukee, WI and resided in New Orleans until Hurricane Katrina. She then moved to Baton Rouge where she has resided for the past 7 years. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin where she was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority. She was a US Navy Veteran of World War II. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Baton Rouge. She also belonged to LWML and made Braille Bibles for 25 years. A recent accomplishment was her 1000th workout at Curves in Baton Rouge. Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 2100 Westbank Expressway, Harvey, LA on Wednesday, September 19, 2012 from 10AM until 11AM. A Funeral Service will be celebrated in the Chapel on Wednesday at 11AM. Interment will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Gretna, LA.
