Dovie J. Dupre

Dovie J. “Jr.” Dupre, Jr. passed away on January 25, 2012 at the age of 84 years. He was a native of Point au Chien, LA and resided in Marrero, LA. Beloved husband of Lois Boudreaux Dupre. Loving father of Linda Aucoin, Peggy Hildebrand (Steven) and Debbie North (Ed). Grandfather of Dane, Chalin and Brent Aucoin, Chad, Jeff and Corey Hildebrand, Jeremy Bond and Rebecca North and great-grandfather of fourteen. Brother of Ella Hymel, the late Norman and Alvin Dupre and Mary Ann Roussel. Son of the late Estelle Guidry Dupre and Dovie J. Dupre, Sr.
Jr. served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II in the European Theater. He later retired from Continental Can, Co. and was an avid and talented carpenter. He was a devoted family man, a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who loved to travel.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOMES, 2100 Westbank Expy., Harvey, LA on Saturday, January 28, 2012 from 10 AM to 1 PM.
